Aristotle – Comfucius Project = monastic cuisine, afloat around Athos

A beautiful boat – Athos Sea Cruises’ Agios Georgios – sets sail.
It sails along Mount Athos.

It anchors 500 meters from the Holy Monastery of Diochiariou.

A Chinese chef.
Two Locals.
They welcome him.
They prepare monastic dishes. The fishermen have brought big white fish.
The gardeners brought fresh vegetables.

The large pot is put on the fire.
The table (trapeza) is being prepared.
Simple.

All around us monk stories and images – a tapestry of green and blue landscapes.
Thick black fabrics and the smell of the Aegean Sea.
Mythical, Mystical, Otherworldly and Mundane.
