Live a gastronomic experience during the famous Mount Athos Area Kouzina culinary festival which will be held in the third leg of Halkidiki from the 15th of May until the 15th of June.

Halkidiki’s most famous island, Ammouliani, welcomes you to walk through its boundless olive trees & wander in its historical pathways. The area is full of customs & traditions that were brought by refugees from northeast Greece. This place is only a breath away from Holy Mountain but closer to its absolute clear blue waters. Live magical moments in the island by going fishing; cooking with an exceptional chef and participating in a traditional feast, but also dance and taste new unexpected flavors of the region.

Day 1 (27/05/2016). The feast of the port

Arrive at Thessaloniki International Airport ‘’Makedonia’’ from where you depart to Ammouliani, a small island which is located at Mount Athos Gulf of Halkidiki. Check in at your hotel and spend your leisure time the way you wish. In the evening, enjoy the ‘’feast of the port’’ while tasting an amazing three- course sea food menu made by an expert chef.

Day 2 (28/05/2016). The fishermen feast!

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel and get ready to take part to a cruise around Mount Athos. Admire the unique, undiscovered beauty of this place and enjoy an original sea food lunch at the fishing boat while cruising. Make a stop for a swim into the crystal clear blue waters! Later on, you will have free time to spend the way you wish. When the sun is ready to set, participate in the fishermen’s feast at the port of Ammouliani, which is has the largest fishing fleet among the area of central Macedonia. The fish served at the restaurants there, is always fresh and caught on the same day. Taste fresh, delicious fish paired with local Athonite tsipouro and wine.

Day 3 (29/05/2016). The feast of the sea recipes!

Start your day with a coastal cruise around the island of Ammouliani, after the breakfast at your hotel. Swim at the sandy beaches with the turquoise color, around the ‘’Tigani’’ islet! You can also have the chance to take part at a canoe kayak experience you will never forget! Later on, taste the Greek ouzo and local delicacies at a fish restaurant and have some free time to rest. In the afternoon, you can visit the local museum of arts and have an iced coffee called ‘’frappe’’ with some local sweets. Close your day by participate to a cooking lesson and learn how to make pies from the adorable housewives of the island.

Day 4 (30/05/2016). Departure day

Enjoy your breakfast and get ready to be transferred to Thessaloniki’s international airport full of unforgettable memories!
