Honey

Think about bees harvesting on the blue shores of Komitsa Bay, on the fragrant hills before Mount Athos. Beehives in a row on the lowlands or natural pines, licking the wave. Mixed scents – sea and wild flowers together.

Think also aboutthe same colorful hives on Mount Kakavos, above Ierissos and Megali Panagia. Small beehives in the towering beeches, oaks and lindens. Among them, flowing waters and bright glades.

This fairytale world forms the basisof Christos and Olga, who have been beekeeping for many years on the mountains of Eastern Halkidiki. They produce pine honey, flower honey and erika honey, but they also produce linden honey, a rare label, which encloses the intoxicating smell and taste of Kakavo’s linden flowers.
