A unique experience
Live a gastronomic experience during the famous Mount Athos Area Kouzina culinary festival which will be held in the third leg of Halkidiki from the 15th of May until the 15th of June.
Meet a variety of Halkidiki’s tastes in four days and get amazed by its Mediterranean environment which unfolds unique flavors & aromas that is ideal for creating gourmet dishes. Make a journey through simple, but especially delicious & healthy meals. Not only will your appetite be satisfied but also your mind because of the breathtaking views of lush green pine forests & the infinite Aegean blue.
Day 1 (24/05/2016). The feast of local recipes.
Arrive at Thessaloniki’s airport and get transferred to Ouranoupoli. Check in and get settled at your hotel. Spend your free time the way you wish. Later on, attend the official presentation of ‘’Mount Athos Area Kouzina’’ recipes book and enjoy a delightful dinner at a famous restaurant of the area.
Day 2 (25/05/2016). The fishing port feast.
Start the day with a pick-up from the hotel to be transferred to the port of Ouranoupoli. There you can enjoy a half day sailing cruise along Mount Athos. Attend a cooking class at a roof garden and learn some secrets about the local cuisine. Proceed to your hotel to relax and get prepared for the evening’s event at the port of Stratoni. Be a part of the fishing feast: try out the local wine and liquor, fresh fish and local delicacies and dance the night out! Close your day full of unforgettable culinary memories!
Day 3 (26/05/2016). The feast of the sea.
Enjoy your breakfast and get ready to visit monasteries and be a part of the tradition of Mount Athos. The male guests can visit the monastery farm named ‘’Chromitsa’’ of Mount Athos where they will learn the secrets of the production process of some famous wines of the area. They will also have lunch, admiring the magnificent view of Mount Athos Gulf and the island of Ammouliani. The female guests can visit another monastery and participate at a wine tasting. Afterward, you will have the chance to sail away around the island of Ammouliani and swim too. You can now close this full day after attending the evening’s event in which you will taste a special sea food menu!
Day 4 (27/05/2016). Departure Day
Your day starts with your breakfast at your hotel and continues with your transfer to Thessaloniki’s International Airport.
