DESCRIPTION:Traditional dance performance in Megali Panagia\, originating from the Greek villages of Thrace. \nThe dancers come from Pella\, the place that gave birth to Alexander the Great. \nPella is also inhabited by Thracian immigrants\, who kept alive the heritage of a homeland that is rich\, vibrant\, unforgettable and different: colorful costumes and dances such as "zonaradikoi"\, "baidouskas"\, "tremouliastoi"\, "soustes"\, with roots in the ancient Greek heritage. \n\nTheir performance expresses emotions and narratives through movement\, dance\, musical sounds\, instruments and exclamations. Many of their songs are connected to historical events\, myths and elements of everyday life\, such as "Vasilkuda"\, which tells a true story of their place. \n\nThey treat us spoon sweets\, made by fresh summer fruits\, collected from the vast Macedonian plain of Pella.\n\nGo dance!\n\nIt is summertime in Greece!\n\nLive it!
